Drug addiction (an electronic seminar organized by the Continuing Education Unit)
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Saeed Selman Kamoon, Dean of the Madenat Alelem University College , the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Women Empowerment Unit and the Nursing Department, held an electronic awareness seminar entitled:
“Drug addiction”
Delivered by the two teaching staff in the Nursing Department:

Through the Zoom electronic platform, the seminar included several axes, including the definition of drugs, their types and divisions, the symptoms of drug abuse, the harm of drugs in terms of health, psychological, social and economic terms, the role of the family and society in eliminating drug addiction, and methods of drug prevention.
The seminar aimed to clarify the dangers of drug abuse on man and society, especially the youth group, and the need to raise awareness and educate about its dangers, and to tighten penalties for its circulation and abuse.
