In implementation of the directives of the Dean of the College, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Head Department of Biology department Prof. Jabbar Almadhidi and the Division of Laboratory Quality head by Dr. Sarah Al-Sheikh Ahmed, held an attendance workshop for the employees, teaching staff, and students of the College entitled (Security and Safety in Educational Institutions) this workshop was aimed to train on how to deal with fire accidents and the types of fire trucks and methods of use.
The workshop, which was delivered by Commissioner Muhannad Kazem from the Directorate of Civil Defense, Kadhimiya District, included a lecture on firefighting problems, self-protection, training on field practice and its application in the event of emergency accidents within the institution, with a detailed explanation of the concept of civil defense and its departments and how to activate the presence of firefighting tools for the purpose of ensuring public safety from cases Fires and accidents that occur inside residences, departments, official institutions and private places.
It was pointed out in the workshop that all institutions, homes and other workplaces must provide a fire extinguisher to ensure safety.
The workshop witnessed the presence of the Dean of University College, the heads of the scientific departments, and a number of the faculty’s staff and teachers.
